David is an Internal Audit and Finance Executive with over 25 years of operational, financial and compliance auditing experience, including 18 years in leadership roles. He joined the Electricity Company of Ghana in 1989 and by dint of hard work, rose through the ranks to the position of Principal Internal Auditor. He had previously worked with K. Tufuor Limited and Klimatecnik Engineering Limited as Accounts Officer and Finance Officer respectively. In 2010, he was appointed the Head of Internal Audit of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited. He successfully re-established the Internal Audit Department. David then joined the Regency Insurance Company Limited in 2015 as Senior Finance Manager where he led the drive to restructure the finance department. With his vast experience in systems reengineering, finance and risk management, he was appointed the Head of Internal Audit of the Global Access Savings and Loans in 2017.
David joined Deon and Noed International – a firm of Chartered Accountants and Tax Experts as Associate Consultant in May 2019. David is also an adjunct Lecturer with the University of Applied Management as well as a Training Instructor with the Rhythex Consulting Limited which specializes in the training of information systems auditors. David joined GN Reinsurance Company Limited as the Chief Finance Officer in June 2021.
David is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAGH) and holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) degree from the Central University. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a member of the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigative Professional (IICFIP) and the Institute of Internal Auditors – Ghana (IIAG) and holds a Diploma in Applied Insurance from the Ghana Insurance College.
David has attended various capacity building programs, seminars and courses. He is a devout christian and he is happily married with three children.
